When the Sun Comes Out in England - Family BBQ Time in Brighton and Hove
Whenever Scott and I visit, we don’t always get the good weather, so when there’s an ounce of sunshine or warmth there is sure to be a family bbq! This time around Eurovision was taking place, so we pre-gamed with pimm’s cocktails & snacks, lawn games, and soaking up sun in the garden (I think there was an <English> football match on tv thrown in there as well). I also couldn’t help but admire the gorgeous peonies growing in the garden. After enjoying our bbq foods, we settled in to watch Eurovision, scorecards included!
Want to make your own Pimm’s Cup, here’s what you need (substitute ingredients to your preferences):
2oz Pimm’s No. 1
1/2 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
Ginger ale, to top
Garnish: cucumber slice
Garnish: mint sprig
Garnish: strawberry
Garnish: lemon wheel (optional)
Garnish: orange wheel (optional)
How to make one:
Add Pimm’s No. 1 and lemon juice into a highball glass over ice, then top with ginger ale and stir briefly to combine.
Garnish with a cucumber slice, mint sprig, skewered strawberry and optional lemon and orange wheels.
