Unboxing & Review of the Louis Vuitton Félicie Pochette Strap & Go Bag
During my recent trip to Japan, I stopped by one of the Ginza locations of the Louis Vuitton stores in Tokyo as I was looking for a crossbody bag that could take with me whilst traveling. I had my eye on this Félicie Strap & Go since it’s the felicie pochette with a wider strap that has a clip on/off card pouch. I specifically was looking for this for travel because of the add-on pouch to hold my metro/transit cards and money. The pochette fit at least my phone, hand sanitizer and a lip product. I figured I most likely wouldn’t need to carry much more than that.
I like that I have the option to swap out the straps, so if I want to use another style strap I already have or purchase another LV strap I can do so. It looks awkward if I try to wear the strap without the card strap since you can see the D-ring where you’d typically clip on the card pouch hanging there.
UPDATE from bag usage while traveling in England & Amsterdam
I took the felicie strap & go with me to my 10 day trip where I visited the southern coast of England, Amsterdam and London. For the most part the bag met my needs while traveling, the only downside was if I wanted to bring my camera with me, as it definitely does not fit my camera so I would just carry it around in my tote bag (I just had to be extra careful not to throw around my tote bag). I think I would prefer to be completely hands-free prior to doing any shopping where I would have to carry my tote bag, as I’ve used a nylon crossbody bag that has a pouch attachment during other travels, that would fit my camera and a folded up reusable bag. At least the felicie strap & go keeps me from overpacking when I don’t really need that much to get around town. I would recommend if you don’t need to carry much aside from your phone plus 2-3 other items such as a lip product & hand sanitizer (and even those items were tight dependent on the shape of the items). The card pouch and using it takes getting used to since it can be hard to pull certain cards/money out. The front hanging card pouch was helpful with easy access to my metro card, but the pouch doesn’t hold much, and it’s harder to pull out a cardstock type metro/transit card, over a hard card like an oyster card. I like that I can wear it day or night though, so I don’t have to pack so many different types of bags with me.
