Styling a Denim Dress with Dr. Martens 1461 Quad in Amsterdam
When Scott and I kicked off Our England/Amsterdam trip with a visit to Southern Coast England, we had a day in Brighton in which I stumbled upon this denim shirt dress while shopping at Zara. I really liked the boxy, oversized look, and wish that it had side pockets, but there were other details of the dress I really liked such as the collar, option to roll up the sleeve and the front pocket. The wash is also really versatile as well as I feel like I can wear it through all seasons. It paired really well with my chunky platforms for an effortless street style look.
For first, only full day around Amsterdam, we were navigating alot around the city since we had some many activities we were doing from visiting the Anne Frank House, to the Van Gogh Museum and Heineken tour, it was a jam packed day. I did change half-way through the day for the evening portion of my day, but this was an easy outfit to travel around town. I also brought my Erewhon tote bag for any purchases I may have I could place in my tote instead of bringing back any plastic or other shopper bags. Completed the denim dress with my Dr. Martens 1461 Quad platforms, which thank goodness I had broken in by this point, so it was no problem trekking around in. Also had black rectangle 90’s inspired sunglasses and my LV Félicie strap & go - although the Félicie pochette is small and hold the bare minimum (phone, hand sanitizer & lip product, I like the pouch attachment that’s clipped on the strap to store my train ticket, money, and cards.
