Styling a Silk Skirt with a Graphic T-Shirt for a Casual Outfit
I used to think I’d have to dress up anything silk, but with this silk skirt from Catherine Gee (which I was gifted), I decided to style it a bit different - with a graphic tee and my platform docs. My morning was going to be spent visiting Shoreditch in London, so I wanted to have this street style vibe since the area is filled with street art.
I had the graphic tee from Tilly’s which I styled with this denim outfit here (and funnily enough the same oxford style, platform docs). The docs I’m so glad I’ve broken in at this point, because I was able to trek all around London and Amsterdam with these shows. I added some ankle socks that I ruched together for a more “academic, in school” look. Paired some 90s style sunnies for a younger vibe, and finished with the Louis Vuitton Félicie Strap and Go, which is basically the pouchette with a crossbody strap that has a clip on pouch/card holder. This is the first time/trip wearing it out and around while traveling as I wanted to test the functionality and it worked well since I could put my metro cards in the pouch. Only thing was the pouchette held just enough but my camera, so I’d put my camera in the Erewhon tote which I would use for any purchases as well to cut down on bags. How would you style the silk skirt?
