Pappardelle and Lavender 75 Cocktail at Cucina Enoteca at Irvine Spectrum Center
Scott and I look forward to getting the same entree when we come to Cucina Enoteca - the Short Rib Pappardelle pasta dish. It is so delicious, and like a beef stew in pasta form (short rib pappardelle + cremini mushroom + carrot + parmesan). Because we were closing out the end of the year with this meal, we also both got the Lavender 75 cocktail (gin + lavender + lemon + prosecco) and I have to say it was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted.
We also ordered the parmesan fries, which were okay. I think they were just underwhelming with taste and texture - I felt like I could just heat up some frozen fries and sprinkle parmesan on top and would yield the same taste/texture result. I mean fries are fries, but I must say I’ve definitely had some delicious fries that I couldn’t get enough of. Back to the cocktail though, I was thinking it would be more on the citrus side because of the lemon, but there was a perfect balance between the citrus flavors and sweet, floral lavender notes - so good!
