International Women's Day at Sushi Roku in Newport Beach, CA

In celebration of International Women's Day, Jen and I dined at Sushi Roku in Newport Beach with other foodies, culinary purveyors and influencers, compliments of Moxxe PR. This was my first time at Sushi Roku and I was quite excited about it, especially since I hadn't eaten sushi in awhile. Our evening consisted of champagne, sushi rolls, sweet shrimp (that were still live, yes alive), craft cocktails (the Lychee Imperial was my all time fave), the tastiest brussels sprouts I've ever eaten, more sushi rolls, and a huge dessert finale with an ice cream and berry delight encased in a chocolate balled covered in powdered sugar which was then drizzled with melted marshmallow, breaking down the chocolate ball to reveal the inner yumminess. I could not imagine a better night with amazing food (great flavors and exquisite presentation) and fantastic "girl boss" company.
