Styling an Oversized Sequin Blazer as a Dress

I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what to wear to the Hapa Kristin x Nikita Dragun Launch Party event in LA. I had to try because it’s LA - so it’s a different vibe. I remembered that I had this sequin blazer (that I got on clearance at H&M), and hadn’t gotten a change to wear it. It was oversized enough where I figured I could style it into a dress. But I needed a belt or something to secure, and cinch the blazer at my waist. I had purchased this belt that has pouches hanging off of it, so instead of carrying a bag as well, I was going to utilize this belt bag for my essentials.

To tie in the belt, and feel like I had a bit more coverage with my outfit, I wore over the knee boots. I would have preferred for the belt to sit a bit higher, even though I had added extra holes in the belt so I could cinch as much as possible, I think the weight of the two pouches hanging off the front cause the belt to tip forward a bit - so it had a sagging look at the front to it. But adding a belt is such an easy and simple trick to instantly change up the look and fit of an oversized garment, dress or anything that you want to give more shape to.
