All You Can Eat Korean BBQ Restaurant in London - Jumak39
I’ve been spoiled with a variety of AYCE Korean BBQ restaurants here in California, which I am so grategul for because I absolutely love KBBQ. When traveling (aside from in Seoul, because there’s KBBQ everywhere and dedicated to specific meats too), if I see a KBBQ restaurant pop up, I’m always interested in trying it out. A couple previous visits to London, I tried YORI in Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus, which is not all you can eat. Every banchan, and condiment dish is an extra charge - which I am used to while dining in the UK/EU. The moment I knew YORI was Korean founded and owned, I knew it would be an authentic experience. When we dined at the Covent Garden location, we spent about $46 USD PP including alcohol and cooking on our own grill.
At Jumak39 for AYCE, the bill came out to about $38 USD PP (an service fee for adults is added on) including alcohol which is very comparable to the KBBQ restaurants here in socal (surprising since London prices are usually $$$).
There’s a la carte dining on the ground floor, and if you want to do AYCE KBBQ, that’s dedicated to the basement area that is decorated to be like a pocha (Korean pub). You can really get your money’s worth here - there’s a decent banchan, condiment and meat selection; as well as a variety of sushi and Korean side dishes. There’s a seating limit of 1 hour 30 minutes, and there’s a wastage fee if you don’t finish everything you’ve taken from the buffet (so be mindful!). We got to the restaurant a few minutes to 5PM (when KBBQ starts) so we could be seated right away, we were the only diners in the KBBQ area, and it was nice to be able to not have to wait or squeeze in to grab our food from the buffet area. Check out menus and make a reservation here.
