Dinner at Lago by Julian Serrano at Bellagio - Las Vegas
For Scott’s 35th birthday, we did a Vegas weekend, and for the evening before we left we decided to do a fancier dinner. We lucked out since Scott called into Lago by Julian Serrano at the Bellagio, and there were same-day evening openings. Dinner was slotted at 9:30PM, so definitely a later dinner time than we are used to, but I snuck in a nap before we headed over for dinner. And we got to enjoy the Bellagio fountains, so was so worth the later dinner time.
We shared bruschetta ($11) & garlic bread ($9), then Scott had the Bolognese Lasagna ($35) and I had the Linguine & Clams ($34). We crushed the garlic bread and bruschetta (you also don’t get much to be honest, I thought we could at least have 4 pieces of bruschetta). Scott finished the lasagna, but overall wasn’t thrilled about it - mainly because of it being smothered in sauce on top, instead of how lasage usually has the somewhat defined layers of pasta sheet, cheese and sauce. I liked my pasta dish, I feel like you can’t go wrong with a linguine and clams, unless the clams are spoiled, but tasted yummy to me. Scott received a nice little birthday cheesecake at the end! It’s pretty $$$$ for what you get with the mains/entrees, in my opinion, I feel like the pasta dishes should be more in the mid-$20s range, but we are really paying for the service, vibe and fountain views am i right?!
