UK Travel Recap Days 5-7 2021 at Bramber Castle, Brighton and Worthing
Finally was able to get the next batch of my travel recap videos out - this is for days five through seven from our last trip to the UK (Nov 2021). We checked out Bramber castle and mainly spent time with family and friends. Oh and we checked into a new hotel!
Day 5
We were checking out of our hotel, the Old Tollgate but before doing so wanted to check out Bramber Castle (what's left of it), which is just a few minutes walk away. Afterwards we drove over to Brighton Marina to check into our next hotel Malmaison - which was much more of a modern & vibrant feel, tons of space and much better water pressure. We walked around and found a cafe + gift shop, The Laughing Dog (since it was near Christmas time, there were a ton of cute and fun ornaments) We met up with Scott's aunt and uncle for dinner in the marina at The West Quay.
Day 6
Drove out to Horsham to visit Scott's great uncle. Then he drove us to the Laughing Fish Pub for lunch. We drove through Ringmer (where Scott's mom grew up) to check out the church where Scott's parents got married. I forgot what we did for dinner that night, pretty sure I had some snacks and went to bed. The jetlag was terrible this trip.
Day 7
Drove out to Worthing to meet our friends the Bagnalls (we had seen Damon and his son Aubrey earlier in the trip when we had gone to Littlehampton), this time Sam got to join us. We did a walk on Worthing Pier, then had breakfast at Jonny's located in Worthing Town Centre. Of course Scott got an English breakfast, and I did an avo toast. Afterwards, we did a little shopping and checked out Christmas decor in the town centre. When we finished hanging with the Bagnalls, we stopped by Scott's nan to hang out for a little bit before heading back to the hotel with a pit stop at the Brighton Pier arcade for some coin machine games (classic Scott) Then, we actually made it to dinner, but most likely because it was the Pizza Express in the marina, so we didn’t have to go far. Had yummy gin drinks and pizza.
