Fun Wedding Guest Book Ideas
I’m gonna be honest, wish I would have spent a bit more time on my guestbook. I figured, oh I’m doing an instant film guest book, so I just need the book and all the supplies (camera, glue tape or washi tape, film and pens). I just wish I would have some up with something a bit more creative - this idea is still fun because I love having photos as a memento. I also didn’t think about putting together the beginning portion of my book, so I had to have one of the venue coordinators write in “Welcome to the Wedding of Amanda & Scott” and tape in photos that we took the day before.
In this post I share everything I purchased and where I purchased it from for an instant film guest book (a similar idea to the instant film photo booth idea I did at my bridal party reveal tea), as well as other ideas that might interest you. Have fun with your guest book since it’s something you will hopefully keep forever! I love looking through mine and seeing my guests’ photos and notes. I also went back in later and taped in everyone’s wedding cards to us so that I had it all in one place.
Instax Instant Film Guest Book
What You Need:
Guest Book - Blank or Lined Pages (if you want to add a personalized touch, have your guest book customized on the cover)
Instant Camera - I used a Fujifilm Instax Mini8 (I would suggest 2 cameras for guest count of 60+)
Film (buy alone or in a bundle with the camera above)
Glue Dots, Adhesive Crafter’s Tape or another mess free adhesive
Washi Tape (buy a bundle of tape styles/colors that complement your wedding colors)
Metallic Pens (Make sure it’s a fine enough point - I like metallic pens so it has more of a formal look, and it’s fun to write with)
A sign with instructions for your guestbook like this one - you will be surprised how you have to provide some direction.
