A Taste of France at Crepes Bonaparte in Fullerton, CA

I had the pleasure of reliving my trip to Paris with a visit to Crepes Bonaparte in Downtown Fullerton. I always love visiting this area because it seems to be bustling with a fun local energy and vibe. Crepes Bonaparte has a great selection of savory, breakfast and dessert crepes; as well as a nice variety of French sangria, wine, mimosa and coffee offerings.

Crepes Bonaparte has been owned and operated as a food truck for more than 10 years by wife and husband duo Christian and Danielle Murcia. They have been recreating the experience and flavors of crepes found on the streets of Paris through their mobile trucks and catering crepe stations; and now at their first restaurant (which only just opened this past March)! I like being able to see the crepes being made in front of me from beginning to end, and I have to say they are the best constructed and tasting crepes I've had in the area. The crepes are just filled with enough spread and ingredients where it doesn't overload and weigh down the crepe pastry. The filling is also proportionate where it does not make the crepe pastry soggy or break apart. I thoroughly enjoyed one of the signature dessert crepes, the HazelBerryAna which has fresh strawberry, banana & nutella, topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. I need to go back to try savory and breakfast crepes. I also highly recommend pairing your crepe with a coffee or flavored mimosa - I had the lavender mimosa which was just the right touch of lavender so it was overpowering with floral flavor, but added an aromatic and sweet element to the champagne.

My experience at Crepes Bonaparte had me reminiscing about my fondest memories of Paris and walking through the Jardin des Tulieries after spending hours at the Louvre, then ending at the La Grand Roue, one of the world's most famous and biggest ferris wheels, where I found a crepe shack serving up warm, yummy crepes. Stop into Crepes Bonaparte for that taste and piece of Paris, see their entire menu here - what's great as well are their late hours so if you need to fulfill your late night crepe craving, you know where to go:
