Wedding Dress Shopping at Blush Bridal Couture - Tustin, CA
My beautiful friend Michelle is getting married in July of next year and she asked me to be apart of her bridal party, which I was quite excited about. I was even more excited when she asked if I would join her for a day of wedding dress shopping. This would actually be my first time experiencing a bridal salon aside from stopping into a few salons to do fittings for bridal shoots.
Michelle lined up three different bridal salons to visit, and although wedding dresses offerings can all seem the same, each salon had its own unique personality through their dress selections. Our first stop was Blush Bridal Couture in Tustin and it was a mix of glamour and bohemian styles. Our appointment was pushed back about 15 minutes (which I guess seems to be a common occurrence with bridal appointments as parties tend to run over in time).
Michelle's bridal consultant was very sweet and listened to the dress elements that the bride to be was looking for. Before the appointment got underway, we were asked if we wanted peach bellinis or water and were able to enjoy the beverages with some yummy cookies and biscotti biscuits. Her consultant initially gathered 4-5 dresses and it was fun to see how each dress actually looked on Michelle. It's really interesting how lace patterns and details can look so different when the dress is actually worn. Styles that Michelle or her mom and bridal party thought would look or fit a certain way may or may not have looked how we imagined at all, so it was fun to discuss dress differences with the bride to be and amongst each other. Michelle found a dress that she liked, but we did have 2 other shops to visit, so her consultant gave her a quote, and she had 24 hours to make a decision if she wanted to pay the price quoted to her for the dress. She even received brochures for potential groom and wedding party suits as well as a cute tote bag!
Aside from the wide variety of wedding gowns, Blush Bridal Couture also has a variety of accessories, from veils and bling-y belts to simple and extravagant hair pieces; there's definitely something for every type of bride. After our appointment, we headed next store to a Greek restaurant for lunch, and since they found out we had come from a bridal appointment we received a complimentary appetizer plate!
