Love Locks at N. Seoul Tower N 서울타워
What I loved about exploring Seoul was that I had no prior idea on places that I wanted to visit. I was placing the points of interest to visit in the hands of Jen my travel buddy (who used to live in South Korea). She took me through a great journey of tourist attractions and off the beaten path destinations. One of my favorite places to visit, a huge tourist spot, is the N Seoul Tower.
I got a chance to leave a love lock at the N Seoul Tower with my friend Jen to commemorate our first South Korean trip together and our friendship. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to go up the tower to the observation deck, but we had fun checking out the area and pretty views. Jen and I purchased the 2-lock set which comes with a black marker for about $15 USD from the souvenir shop (there are also single locks for sale as well). It was crazy to see how many locks upon locks and even random things like cell cases and bags were piled on and attached to the fences. Jen was actually able to find another lock that her and her sister had left there about a year ago.
N Seoul Tower has lots of great cultural programming, dining and shopping experiences. You can not actually drive up Namsan mountain to the entrance to the tower, but you can park at nearby lots and either walk up, take a cable car or city bus. You can also be apart of a tour group.
Jen and I took the metro to subway stop and hopped on the Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle #2 bus which took us to a bus pick up/drop off point on Namsan mountain - we still had to walk up a little ways but not as bad as having to trek up the entire mountain. The tower currently has multiple transmission antennas, is situated on the highest point of Seoul, and can be seen to have LED light displays.
