Mickey Mouse Graphic Tee, Bomber Jacket, Ripped Jeans and Sneakers for Back to School
When I think back to school, I think t-shirt, jeans and sneakers. Now, that ensemble can look messy and disheveled, or it could look put together and casually effortless. For this look in particular, the main point of focus is the Mickey Mouse t-shirt (which happens to be a men's t-shirt in size XS - I wanted a bit of the oversized t-shirt fit that I could knot at the bottom). If I had too many rips on the jeans or wore a printed jacket, that could make the outfit look too busy with the Mickey Mouse printed t-shirt. This look is almost like my Mickey Mouse rebel look, it is a mix of the edgy, urban feel through the distressed jeans, bomber jacket and skater-like sneakers combined with the graphic t-shirt which adds a youthful aspect. Pick styling elements to complement, not overwhelm each other. If you choose to wear printed or destroyed jeans then pair it with a basic t-shirt. The bomber jacket is my all-time favorite right now, it has that puffy, voluminous look and is very lightweight - aside from the aviator jacket style, there's an almost academic, collegiate feel to the jacket. It also pairs well with a simple, fitted slip or cotton dress to give it that street style look. The sneakers are black but have a corduroy texture to it to elevate the simplistic shoe style. I gave my back to school outfit a hip but studious vibe with a pair of retro-style framed glasses, I like these frames so much that I'm considering having prescription lenses put in. Get the look:
