CALAPHYA Luxury Fashion Tops
I received my "Time Counter" Supima Cotton Top from CALAPHYA's Esplandian Collection just in time for an art event I was attending; as the print of the top is an elaborate piece of art all in itself and therefore quite fitting for an art affair. You can shop from three different collections, but the Esplandian Collection in particular, is a mix of Baroque & Japanese inspired fashion prints. Upon receiving my top, I couldn't help but notice how impeccably wrapped and packaged up the top was; a beautiful white CALAPHYA box bearing the label's logo which resembled a component of a coat of arms was nicely cushioned by two pieces of foam (extra shipping care). I opened the box to find a postcard printed with CALAPHYA styles as well as a little envelope with my item registration card (it's top #22 out of a limited edition quantity of 500 pieces) and a Supima Cotton tag. I peeled away the tissue paper (which was all wrapped up like a present) to find that my CALAPHYA top was meticulously fastened onto a cardboard backing which kept the top in place and made for a beautiful presentation of the garment masterpiece. I styled the striking top over a soft chiffon dress, court heels, and a chain strapped backpack. What I love most about the top, aside from the softness and high quality feel to the fabric, is the mixed media look of the print, showcasing a 17th-18th century, rich and opulent painting style with a modern twist. All tops are designed and assembled in California, made of 100% Supima Cotton interlocked knit fabric, digitally printed on the front, are a nice relaxed fit, and I can either hand wash or dry clean (I like that there's an easy to find and read label at the inside hem of the shirt). I can see myself styling this top with leather pants, or with dark wash or black denim jean and a leather jacket. Outfit Details:

About CALAPHYA
The idea for CALAPHYA started in 2012 with a team of talented artists and designers who wanted to create a high-end fashion brand of women's clothing and accessories. The inspiration behind the brand would infuse fine art and design to create pieces for women everywhere to wear for day to day life. In 2013 the brand was officially born and based out of California. Their logo and name are inspired by "The Adventures of Esplandian", the great Spanish novel of the 15th century that also gave the name to the state of California. CALAPHYA is committed to assembling their products locally and only made from the world’s finest cotton, which is grown in the region.
