How to Wear Lex & Mila's Taylor Cape

I've been waiting for a chance to wear this Audrey3+1 'Taylor' cape from Lex & Mila. It has a dressier look to it so I wanted to wait until I had an event to attend. I got to see student designers from Santa Ana College showcase their designs at the school's 2014 Fashion Show last Friday. I paired the cape with a tiger print shift dress I thrifted awhile back (and also wore here), finished with black boots and wallet clutch. My hair was a mess, so I slicked down the flyaway hairs with paste and tied it up into a high ponytail! Wear a black cape coat with a solid color or printed shift or sheath dress and flats or boots for a day chic look; or get fancy with a simple gown, statement necklace, and heels! Not a dress kind of gal? Where dark skinnies or faux leather bottoms and a shift-like chiffon top, finished with wedges, boots, or chunky heels.
