Styling a Ruffled and Embellished Dress for an NYE Party

Do you have your New Year's Eve dress or outfit picked out yet? Are you going with a short cocktail dress or a long evening gown; I guess that is dependent on the type of event your going to right? I haven't ever really gotten dressed up to ring in the New Year, and would love to rock a glamorous gown, but I would need a special soiree to wear it to! If I were to go with a cocktail dress, this Thai Nguyen Collections embellished, cascading ruffled dress, featuring a pop of orange would be perfect-o!

I put my hair up in a bun so it would not take away from the dress, the details and elements of the dress really start to draw in your attention from the neckline as it cascades down the dress. I don’t normally wear halters or halter looking necklines, but this is nice because not only does it tie behind the neck, but there’s also a waist tie. I finished the look with open toe black heels, and the heel part is a metallic gold to tie in with the bits of gold glimmer in the embellishments of the dress! If it gets cold, I would throw over a faux leather moto jacket, a blazer or trench coat dependent on how chilly it is.
