Attending the Taste of OC Food Festival for a Foodie Weekend

I was very excited to use my deal from OCSavertime.com to attend the Taste of OC Food Festival this past Saturday. My friends and I were given (and purchased some extra) tickets/credits that we could use to exchange for food and beverages at various booths. Items ranged from 1 ticket (rare) to 24 tickets. Although the food dishes were delicious, I didn't think that the amount of food that we received sufficed for the amount we paid for in food/drink tickets. For example, 1 sheet of 10 tickets cost $5; an appetizer size plate of tri tip, a spoonful of  beans, and a small scoop of mashed potatoes were 10 tickets. I think I would have been more satisfied if, on average each plate was worth 5 tickets. Nevertheless, we all still enjoyed the festivities, art, and beer tastings (a definite plus). My all-time fave booth was 'Red Table' from Huntington Beach! They had tacos and a to-die-for Broken Banana Cream Pie. Not only were their food ticket prices reasonable, BUT they captured my heart with the handwritten menu board, succulent plants and artichoke decor; and overall well put together booth. Red Table has been added to my list of restos to visit. Well...until next year's Taste of OC! Food and OOTD photos below :)
