Winter Cookie Decorating Class with Grunderfully Delicious in Anaheim, CA

One of my girlfriend group’s all time favorite activity is a cookie decorating class. A few years ago, my friend Michelle introduced us to Grunderfully Delicious’ cookie decorating classes taught out of her Anaheim based, The Cookie OC Studio. This is our third class together, and honestly I always amaze myself at how wonderful the cookies turn out AND they are insanely delicious. We learn new skills and get to enjoy the fruits of our labor. This class theme was “Let’s Have a Snow Day!”, cookies with a magical, wintery touch!

Classes are $50 per person, and you just reserve/purchase your spot online. You don’t need to bring anything, owner/instructor Kristin provides everything you need and will take you step by step on decorating basics then the details and any special techniques. You will seriously leave so proud of yourself!

You are welcome to bring your own NON-alcoholic drinks, and if you want to turn this experience into a decorate and sip, there’s beer, wine & seltzer available for purchase (there’s also water and soda). Michelle brought all of the girls match lattes to enjoy while cookie decorating. If you’re coming in a group and want to be seated together, just email Kristin beforehand - she seated our group of 5 at one table together.

You’ll start off with a run down of all the supplies you have, and a tray of 6 blank cookies, then be taken through a practice sheet for practicing piping icing. Once you start to get more comfortable, you can work on your cookie. Kristin will take you through step by step for the important parts that you need to pay attention to, but also allow you to have the time you need to focus to finish decorating parts of your cookies. Each cookie class will also have a featured cookie, this one was a butter snickerdoodle sugar cookie (which she warms up and hands out).

Each class is 24 students max, and experience is not necessary! As of the week of January 12, looks like the Friday January 23rd 6:30-8:30PM class is still open! Check back and follow Grunderfully Delicious to see when new classes drop because spots get snatched up quickly due to popularity.
