Hosting a Green and Pink Wicked Movie Watch Party

My friend Michelle and I hosted a Wicked Watch Party, and I am so excited to show you how it turned out. Since she wants to see the newest Wicked: For Good, but hadn’t seen the first movie, I suggested doing a watch party to get her all caught up! She handled hosting at her home and creating the snack chracuterie board, and I took care of the decor and some other fun details for our party! Check out our mood board, how do you think it all turned out from our inspiration?!

I found so many ideas for Green and Pink foods, without having to actually make anything in those colors. Although Michelle did buy the Wicked cupcake mix that reveals whether it pink or green once you mix it, she didn’t get around to baking - but dang look at this Wicked-inspired charcuterie board! Also there’s a variety of garland and hanging decorations available on Amazon - I hung gold fringe garlands and used a speckled metallic gold on tulle table runner (so I could re-use both of these items in the future), and only purchased one Wicked specific decor item, a “You’re Going to Be Popular” green and pink garland.

What You Need for the Green and Pink Snack Charcuterie Board:

  • Green Veggies that are good for crudite like snap peas, broccoli, bell peppers and cucumber

  • Green Fruit like green apple, grapes and kiwi

  • Macarons in Green (will usually be a pistachio flavor) and Pink (like strawberry or raspberry flavors)

  • Red/Pink Fruit like raspberries, strawberries, red apples, dragon fruit/pitaya

  • Candy - the candy itself does not need to be pink, can also find candies that have the wrapper color. Any pink candy like Starbursts (strawberry) and Andes mints - other candy ideas like sour rings, gummy bears, M&Ms, Hersey’s kisses, ring pops, and gummies.

  • Meats & Cheeses - a variety of deli cold cuts like salami & prosciutto to bring in pink/red, and since there won’t be cheeses that everyone may want to consume that donns any pink or green hue to it - you can just serve as it (or add a rosemary sprig on top to add color). You might be able to find goat cheese logs wrapped in herbs (green) or cranberries (pink/green)

We added a festive touch with the Elphaba hat and Glinda crown tooth picks.

What You Need for Cotton Candy Topped Beverages:

  • Green/Pink Cotton Candy (Wicked Cotton Candy from Five Below)

  • Prosecco, Champagne or other sparkling beverage (can do sparkling water or juice for non-alcoholic option)

  • Pink Flutes & Customized Name Ribbons (for a personalized touch)
