Visiting the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour - Sydney, Australia
After getting all set up in the expo hall of the International Convention Centre Sydney, I had some free time so I walked over to the Chinese Garden of Friendship which is located across from the convention centre in Darling Harbour. I just got tickets at the ticket window, and as it was a gloomy, rainy day the gardens were not that crowded and I could go at my own pace and take more photos and videos. The garden grounds are truly a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The Chinese Garden of Friendship brings together the serene surroundings of the traditional Chinese landscape and the vibrant energy of Sydney. I spent a little over an hour walking the garden pathways, taking in the architecture of the buildings, and listening to the sounds of streaming water. It was really nice to experience the tranquility of the garden before the start of a hectic work week.
