How to Make Air Fryer Bagel Chips
I’ve been on a bagel kick, but sometimes I can’t finish the bag before they start to go stale so my solution is: bagel chips! There’s 2 ways to slice, and you only need 3 ingredients total including the bagel. I used everything bagels, olive oil & garlic salt, and threw the slices into my Ninja air fryer.
My first batch I did 400° for 5 min, and as you can see practically burnt to crisp 😅 and my second batch did 300° for 5 min to start out then flipped and did another 1-2 minutes until desired golden brown. You can also do this with bread that is going to go stale and make them into crutons!
What Ingredients Do You Need:
Bagels of Your Choice
Olive Oil
Garlic Salt or Garlic Powder & Salt or Just Salt (your preference)
Instructions:
Slice 1/4-1/8 inch or smaller slices c-shape or vertical bagel slices for smaller round chips (instead of horizontal shown in this post and video)
Spray or drizzle and then brush the slices with olive oil on both sides (ensure the slices are evenly coated)
Sprinkle with garlic salt, powder with salt or regular salt
Evenly spread out the slices in the air fryer basket
Dependent on your air fryer, you may need to adjust temp and timing, my better golden brown batch was fried at 300° for 5 min to start out then flipped and did another 1-2 minutes until golden brown
Take out and enjoy - I made a dip with tomato, peperoncini, olive oil & feta cheese
