Comfortable Airport Style for International Long Haul Travel
My usual go-to for airport style for long haul flights is typically a sweat set situation and whichever coat or jacket will be the heaviest, I will wear it instead of packing it. If I know it will be much colder where I am headed, then I will wear heat tech/thermal layers underneath. For this particular trip to England, we were expecting it to be much cooler since it hadn’t been too warm so far this year. To our surprise it was actually warmer than anticipated, but still cooler than we were experiencing at home. It looked like we had brought the sun with us when we arrived.
I wore a cream colored (men’s) hoodie from Muji, paired with taupe colored sweats from Tescos (yes, the supermarket) an Adidas cap, wool coat from Loft and finished with AL8 nike sneakers. I typically will wear slides or Birkentstock style sandals with socks to make it easy going through security if they make you take off your shoes, but this time I wanted to wear a sneaker that would protect my feet in case it was drizzling when we arrived, and also be comfortable.
