Ideas for Packing Outfits for a 7-Day Work Trip

It’s always a struggle packing for my business trips, I want to have variety with my outfits, and not overpack. Weather can also be a problem if I need to bundle up, but I brought heat tech layers and had a warm enough jacket for my recent visit to Louisville. For the 7-day trip, I created a capsule wardrobe where I could easily interchange my clothes and pair with each other. The complementary colors were key, and I was able to fit everything comfortably into my carry on luggage by wearing the heaviest jacket and jeans for the flight.

Almost all the pieces I could dress down with my sneakers or up with my booties, allowing for multi-functionality and versatility with what I packed. I was prepared for my conference sessions, meetings, events, dinners or just exploring the city. Also the only new item I bought were the all black sneakers since I had been needing a pair. Here’s what I brought:

Outerwear:
Plaid Jacket
Camel Shacket
Black Blazer

Tops:

Rust brown & grey turtlenecks
Camel Crewneck sweatshirt
Flowy Black Tank
Lace Crop Tank (in set with skirt)

Bottoms:
Beige Faux Leather Leggings
Black Mom Jeans
High Waisted Lace Pencil Skirt (in set w/crop tank)
High Waisted Grey Pin Striped Trousers

Shoes:
Black Sneakers
Black Booties

Accessories:

Statement Gold Earrings
2 Smaller Gold Hoop Earrings
Suede Baguette Bag (w/top handle + removable strap)
