Calvin Klein Boxy Denim Jacket for NYE - Y2K Style
I had a whole glitter suit for NYE, but first of all, it sheds glitter like crazy and I didn’t want to put anyone through that mess, and second, I just wanted to be comfier when celebrating ringing in the new year. So when we headed over to our friend’s home for a new year’s eve dinner, I opted for a much more casual, Y2K inspired outfit featuring Calvin Klein’s Boxy Zip Denim Shirt Jacket .
I became obsessed with vetting a CK boxy/oversized looking jacket when I had stayed with my friends and saw that they rock these staple CK denim jackets (that they can share with each other, it was fun to see that as husband and wife, they could share this closet staple). I wanted to find something similar, as I figured I’d be out of luck since they had jackets that were donned and modeled by BTS member Jung Kook. I was able to find a cropped boxed style as well as this boxy men’s style that has a zip front. I got it in a size small, and was surprised to see that it fit with the oversized look that I wanted to achieve without looking like I was drowning in denim, but ALSO that my husband fit in this jacket as well. He is usually a size Large, so I really was surprised that he fit this men’s small, which probably lends to the fact that it is truly meant to be an oversized fit. But on my husband, it’s more of a regular fit. What I also really like about the jacket is it has a padded, quilted interior lining which is super comfy and keeps me warm! I’m thinking I should shoot a side by size of my husband and I wearing this jacket - would be fun to see on the both of us. I also got this jacket on sale, and the purchase qualified for 10% cash back on rakuten (vs the usual 2% or so)! It’s on sale now, but very limited on sizing, I expect it will probably move quickly. Paired the jacket with cargo pants, a bling-y purse and zerouv frameless sunglasses for that super 2000x y2k vibe. Here are details on the full look:
