Packing and Preparing for a Vietnam Southeast Asia Trip - Travel Essentials
Even though I was traveling to Vietnam during an off peak season time, it was still going to be incredibly hot and humid (more than I’m used to in so cal), and there’s still mosquitos so I needed to be prepared with repellant and anything else I needed to protect myself.
Also, I just don’t seem to have a stomach of steel as it is, so I wanted to stock up to have any necessary medications to fortify my stomach and tackle any stomach bugs if needed - I also got a water bottle that included a filter.
I’ve included other helpful essentials (medications that I usually travel with) for if I’ve come down with a cold/flu or to try to stay hydrated while traveling. My list below includes just bug repellent wipes and spray, but I had brought stickers and bracelets with me as well, and really only the wipes and sprays were effective (which I found out the hard way when I forgot to use the wipes and sprays one of the days and was completely mauled by mosquitoes).
Items like travel tissue packs and hand sanitizer (and wet wipes if you like to travel with those) are a must when traveling in usual. Especially in southeast asia, you do not know if you will access to tissues or washing stations when using restroom facilities. Check out my travel essentials list below:
