6 Easy Ways to Go Plastic Free for #PlasticFreeJuly

It’s been a couple of years now that I’ve been doing small sustainable swaps here and there, so for Plastic Free July, I wanted to share six easy ways you can go plastic free this month and beyond.

1) Bamboo utensils or silverware you have and use it as a set to replace plastic utensils for picnics + takeaway

2) Mesh bags to replace produce bags and reusable bags or market bags for groceries

3-4) Use solid dish soap instead of bottled liquid dish soap. Also ditch the sponge and try natural fiber brushes

5) Metal, glass or silicone straws to replace plastic straws. If you’re forgetful, try a collapsible reusable straw keychain

6) Cover or wrap and store leftovers and produce in beeswax wrap instead of plastic wrap or aluminum foil

Reminder: Every bit helps. You don’t need to replace everything you’re using now with sustainable items but can make changes here and there. Always use what you have first!
