Trying 5 Japanese Kit Kat Flavors
I brought back 5 KitKat /キットカット (Kitto Katto) mini flavors from Japan, and because we are in quarantine I finally convinced Scott to do a taste test video with me. When filming I didn't look up any of the kitkat information beforehand, but here are all of the Kit Kat flavors below, all except the Yogurt, Nuts & Cranberry flavor can be purchased overseas (I just don't recommend that right now due to the increase in temps), your local asian supermarket or specialty candy stores may carry the more common Japanese flavors like matcha (just saw the regular and dark matcha at a Zion Market yesterday for $6).
After we tasted each flavor, we gave a rating out of 5 stars. Have you tried any of these Kit Kat flavors before? All of these Japanese KitKat flavors are apart of their Otona No Amasa "Sweetness for Adults" range. Scott and I are looking forward to planning another trip to Japan when we can travel again, and I definitely plan to bring back a variety of other Kit Kat flavors home (there are SO MANY). In Japan Kit Kat is a lifestyle!! I barely eat it here in the U.S., but if I had access to the plethora of flavors like Japan, I'd be gobbling these up on the daily!
Strawberry - ストロベリー
Light and crunchy wafer coated with creamy milk chocolate Strawberry flavor. Lightly sweet with a surprisingly touch of tartness.
Matcha (Green Tea) - 抹茶
It features wafers smothered in rich, green tea matcha-flavored chocolate.
Yogurt, Nuts & Cranberry - ヨーグルト, ナッツ & クランベリー
The light and crunchy wafers are coated with white chocolate yogurt flavor topped with almonds and cranberry bits.
Dark Matcha - 濃い緑茶
If you love Green Tea Kit Kats, try this extra dark version, for a more intense, powerful Matcha taste!
Hojicha (Roasted Green Tea) - ほうじ茶
Hojicha is tea flavored from roasted green tea leaves. This is a very rare KitKat flavor that is only available in one small region of Japan!
