Summer Menu at Hive & Honey Rooftop Bar Irvine

Hive & Honey Rooftop Bar located at the top of the Marriott Irvine Spectrum celebrated Summer Solstice with a fantastic party! Guests enjoyed live music, new menu items, specialty cocktails inspired by astrological signs and of course the sprawling views of OC.

This place never disappoints with their service, food & drinks and overall vibes - it really is the hit place to be at on a weekend evening. I always enjoy watching a glorious sunset while sipping on a delicious cocktail. Aside from my favorite turkey meatballs (that are covered in a mouth watering buffalo sauce) and a side of fries with a kick from the sriracha sauce; I tasted the new dish Bao Buns, which I was incredibly impressed with! The buns are a very close if not almost authentic bao bun, and what I liked about Hive & Honey’s version is that the pork belly wasn’t too fatty and it also wasn’t completely dripping with sauce (and it had a nice kick with the kimchi aioli sauce) and the perfect crunch with the pickled veggies. Other new dishes also include the Aussie Lamb Sliders, Duck Confit Taquitos and Tuna Tartare.

I was really excited to try the three astrological inspired cocktails (which are available through the summer):

🐻 MOMMA BEAR ♋️- don julio blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, orgeat & coconut cream.

Inspired by the moon, considered the mother of heavens in ancient times. Cancers have a maternal quality that often guides them in relationships but can be smothering, intentions are to protect their home and loved ones]

⚡️ NECTAR OF THE GODS ♌️- aperol, fresh lemon juice, nectarine simple syrup.

Repping the characteristics of Leos and a seasonal ingredient: Nectarines. Like the ruling planet, the Sun, Leos like to be the center of attention. Warm & friendly but also very charismatic and thrives on flattery.

🍸 The Plight of a GINuine Maiden ♍️- Hendricks, basic cucumber simple syrup, fresh lime, egg white & activates charcoal.

Named for the ruling planet Mercury and its artistic & poetic communication. The Maiden stands for purity of intentions and desire for purpose. Virgos are obsessively interested in details no matter how insignificant and persistently seek the goodness in humankind.
