I was fortunate enough to get to visit Boston, Massachusetts for the first time due to a work trip this past May. Since my company was exhibiting at a conference at the World Trade Center which is right across the street from the Seaport Hotel, naturally I felt it would behoove my team and I to stay at the Seaport Hotel, as it would make going back and forth from the expo easy.

What's convenient is that I was able to take the Silver bus line with complimentary fare from the Boston Logan Airport to the World Trade Center. I must say that bus gets FULL (I was on the bus around the end of the work day), so you really just need to push your way in there and make it known that you need to get off at your stop so you can physically get off of the bus before other passengers board.

The World Trade Center stop led us right to a secondary lobby entrance for the Seaport Hotel. Check in was easy and my room was the perfect mix of modern, hotel luxury and vibrant elements. I had a nice view of the waterfront, and even better that it was a mere few steps from the hotel. The waterfront is everything I expected it to be, lots of places to dine and what seemed like a bustling area. The Seaport "neighborhood" itself is very up and coming, and has an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars, as well as classic seafood spots nestled between the waterfront and towering buildings.

My stay at Seaport was very comfortable and I would recommend staying here as I felt it was close enough to everything you would want to see and experience. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, 25 minutes to the New England Aquarium and Faneuil Hall Marketplace. My colleagues and I asked a couple of the locals that work at our nearby office some food/restaurants recs in the area and they mentioned No Name Restaurant (5 minute walk) and The Barking Crab (11 minute walk), which both were conveniently located on each side of the hotel. Cause you know I was not going to leave Boston without a proper lobster, lobster roll and clam chowder!

Although this trip was mostly business, I got to squeeze in a little bit of play with sightseeing on my downtime and seeing my friend Emily Loftiss who met me at the cutest cafe, by CHLOE. and walked with me to Faneuil Hall so I could see a more historical side of Boston and also grab a few souvenirs. Although, if you visit and are limited to the seaport area, the hotel actually had a well stocked gift shop. Their restaurant and bar, TAMO Bistro & Bar has a nice, lounge-y atmosphere which is great for winding down after a long day.

You'll have everything you need when staying at the Seaport Hotel, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the property also provides robust fitness offerings and an indoor pool at their WAVE Health & Fitness area. If you want a more formal dining experience, stop in at Aura restaurant; for something quick and on the go, visit the Seaport Cafe. In the mornings post shower, make yourself a cup of coffee from the in room Keurig, and enjoy it while cozy in a plush bath robe (you better bet I did!).
