Coachella Festival Fashion with a Floral Kimono
Happy first day of spring! I am really so excited for the season change (although I had been experiencing heat waves the past few weeks, so really it felt like summer), because that means many more dresses, rompers and lightweight clothing. With Spring kicking off today, Coachella music festival season is just around the corner. Shawna and I got together to shoot a festival-inspired fashion series and this first look features this Shop Pink Blush floral kimono. I love that I can wear the kimono open or buttoned up and it easily pairs well with a romper, dress or tee and jeans. The kimono also features bell sleeves and a crochet lace elbow detail. If you're looking for this teepee tent for a shoot of your own or for decor in your home, here's the one I used (can't believe I snagged it for under $50). The teepee was fairly simple to assemble as all the poles are clearly labeled and there are picture instructions to follow. It was definitely easier to have Shawna assist me in assembling so that one person could hold up the teepee in place while the other person tied together the poles and straightened out the sides. I was surprised at how spacious the inside was (seeing that this teepee is marketed as a kid's decor/play item) and if I had a bit more space in my bedroom, I could set this teepee up and add some pillows and cushions as a nice little sanctuary reading/lounge spot. I made the lace dreamcatchers draped in front of the teepee opening, but you can shop similar ones here.
