Visiting Arundel Castle in West Sussex, England UK

While visiting England with Scott, he took me to visit Arundel Castle in West Sussex, which is near the town that he grew up in. This was my first time visiting  a castle, and one of England's longest inhabited country houses. The castle and grounds were absolutely magnificent, and although the gardens weren't really in full bloom; I loved the grandeur of the garden fountains and decor. Scott and I even got to tour the castle bedrooms (but couldn't snap photos for security reasons), and it was interesting to see historical paintings and decor intertwined with modern family photos from when the 17th Earl (Duke of Norfolk) lived their with his family.

This castle is a must-visit when in Southern England, it's filled with history and I walked the grounds and halls of the castles in awe. While up in the castle keep, we saw sprawling green lands and the river Arun. I found this tidbit on heir succession for Arundel Castle which I thought was quite interesting. Check out ticket prices and plan your visit here! Scott and I selected the Gold Plus admission (£18 approximately $26) which allowed for admittance to everything the castle has to offer!
