Trying Better Buzz in Encinitas, CA

While coming back to OC from a girls' Downtown San Diego weekend trip for Jen's Birthday; we made a pit stop in Encinitas to grab coffee. Kaisa suggested Better Buzz Coffee and the whole group was so glad she did, because it is a pretty rad place with exceptional coffees and food. We stopped in on a Sunday around 10:30am and the line was approximately a 10 minute wait with nearly no seating, thankfully we snagged a comfortable spot for four by the 'Coffee First' wall. We ordered hot and iced the Best Drink Ever which is a classic Americano and signature creamy vanilla, a White Chocolate Mocha and avocado toasts. We couldn't rave enough about the Best Drink Ever, the perfect combo of espresso and vanilla flavor, it reminded me of a less dense and strong Vietnamese Iced coffee; but just if not more tasty. The avocado toast is quite filling; it comes with a side of arugula which doesn't have much taste to it even though there's balsamic vinegar and oil on it, it serves best as a palate cleanser in between the loaded bites of toast. The toast itself is seeded bread slices topped with organic avocado, feta and cherry tomatoes. The environment of exposed brick with pretty plants growing out of the cracks, statements painted on the walls and illuminated by lights, as well as the eclectic seating areas makes for a hip, yet inviting and great coffee lounge spot.
