Vibrant Garden Tea Party Bridal Shower
Although so cal is transitioning, or trying to transition into Autumn (proving to be difficult with this heat wave we're experiencing); I wanted to share this uber cute garden tea party-inspired bridal shower for my boyfriend's cousin Kelly! And guess what?! She's getting married today! The bridal shower was hosted by the bride's mother Peggy, with delicious food by family friend, Chef Cathy. Create your own garden tea party for any occasion with a tea bar where guests can scoop various teas into tea bags and take home. This tea bar included tea leaves and mixes from Teavana, separated into bowls with a guide on which teas flavors complement each other if you choose to combine flavors. For floral arrangements, use vintage-inspired birdcages and teapots to display rich shades of dahlias, roses, and pretty green fillers. Mix up the table settings with different floral soup and service plates topped with rosemary and lavender tied together with a note card (you can switch this out with a place card if you have assigned seating). Food included a light salad, tea sandwiches, and yummy desserts including a delectable bee hive cake smothered in frosting. Guests got to take home the sweetest tea cups to enjoy their custom tea bags in. Although I'm all for being a girly girl, I liked that this tea party wasn't all pink frou frou and frills galore; this event featured a jewel toned color palette and whimsical decor like frogs and turtles.
