Fall 2014 Fashion with Stylist Lori Gladstone at Bardot
I was quite excited to have the opportunity to check out fall fashion showcased through the Pam & Gela collection with stylist Lori Gladstone at Bardot boutique in Newport Beach. I've met Bardot owner Dana before and had never been into Bardot, so this was a great way to check out her boutique. Guests were able to sip on champagne while shopping and chatting with Lori about Fall style (portion of sales benefited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital).
In so cal, we usually don't have a need to bundle up with heavy sweaters and coats or jackets in the fall, but we do need key pieces to assist in transitioning from Summer to Fall style. Pam & Gela has great pieces that can be worn now even in the heatwave OC is experiencing, for example; instead of wearing a sweater with jeans and boots, the sweater can be worn with shorts and a chic ankle bootie. If that's still too warm for one's liking, the printed jogger pant (which was the TOP fave for Lori & Dana) can be worn with a fitted or airy tank (tucked in) and with sandal wedges. Pam & Gela also had some neutral-toned statement tees that are easy to incorporate into a transitional fall wardrobe.
Some key trends that Lori pointed out for Fall 2014 include:
1. 50 Shades of Grey- Fall's very important neutral. Mix pieces of different textures to perfect the monochromatic trend.
2. Global Chic- Add texture, print, and color. Embrace the world and multicultural influences. From blanket wraps to swaying fringe, animal prints and intricate beadwork all sending a compelling message this Fall.
3. Knits- Cozy cardigans to major fashion statements. The year of the sweater! Here you combine the ethnic trends with your knits.
4. Coveted Coats- Invest in a robe or wrap coat to kickoff the cold weather! Camel or color, everything goes. Don't shy away from over the top outerwear. Incorporate this look with your knit wear as well. Oversized cardigan blanket sweaters.
5. The Bootie- A must for fall! Open toe, lace up, lots of choices! Becoming the year round shoe.
Bonus Accessory Options: A clutch, a great hat, and statement necklace.
You can book a styling session with Lori for a special rate of $250 which includes:
