Closet Makeover with showcase's Closet Magic

One of the best things for my life, happened a few weeks ago; show case's 'Closet Magic' service helped me with my closet chaos. show case is an online based, full-service consignment marketplace created by entrepreneurial duo and friends Seandra & Melyssa. Before the actual closet clean out/organization/purge session took place, Seandra & Melyssa emailed me the loveliest letter explaining that they were so excited to get to work on my closet and provided a run down of what usually happens during their 'closet magic' service. They also requested that I complete a questionnaire and send photos of my closet, and reassured me to not be embarrassed  because they were there to help!
Usually Seandra & Melyssa will come prior to 'closet magic' (if local) or do a consultation via skype or facetime to evaluate your closet or space and suggest services (which can include re-design) would be best for you; from that assessment, they give you a price quote and come back another day to implement their services and the client therefore doesn't need to worry about doing anything except deciding what he/she wants to keep in their wardrobe.

'Closet Magic' basically consists of Seandra & Melyssa:
-Removing all contents from your closet by category, for me, we started with jeans and worked our way to outerwear.
-Editing the piles by going through and deciding what I wanted to keep, donate, or think about. All donate items went into huge ikea bags (I was ready to let go of a lot of things so good thing they brought 3 big bags to haul my stuff). Then refolding and organizing the piles by color. All donated items are given to Working Wardrobe or Assistance League.
-Cleaning the space by vacuuming, wiping down shelves and other surfaces while the closet was being emptied (which is great, who knows how long it has been since I last cleaned in there).
-Reorganize the space with the current furniture like drawers, cubbies, and baskets that I currently have. If you choose to do a redesign, this is where Seandra and Melyssa will install the storage and hanging units (which they also go out and pick up for you post-consultation).
-Fill the closet back up working from the outside in. The clothing that I will wear the least was placed on the outside.

We also de-cluttered and organized my dresser, bookshelf (which was used to display handbags), desk, and were able to consolidate an entire rolling rack of heavy outerwear into my closet. Seandra and Melyssa work very well together and bounce off each others creative interior design eye and industry experience; they are also very professional and prepared (with everything they would need to properly handle any kind of closet), as well as fun and lighthearted which puts me at ease when my closet is being torn into, whereas I would usually be too overwhelmed. They joked that they would drive away quickly so I wouldn't change my mind on items I was donating.

What stood out the most was how determined they were to get the closet to exactly how I would want it, working with what I had by making sure everything was accessible, functional, and also had a nice visual merchandising look to it.

They're great! And I highly recommend show case's 'closet magic' whether you're looking for a total, closet makeover, a good de-clutter, or a quick refresh or revamp (and it's not just limited to your closet), these ladies know how to organize and they will do it well and make everything in your space look presentable. Call 714-800-3450 or email closetmagic@shopshowcase.com with any questions or to schedule a free facetime or skype consultation.

Seandra & Melyssa even left me a little gift on my dresser, a beautiful dust bag! Which I definitely have found use for with the many handbags I have #toomany #notenough.
