Urth Caffe, West Hollywood

Last week, my jewelry designer friend Michelle and I headed to LA for a fashion shoot with The Style Club and A Night for Green Beauty event at the W Hotel, Westwood. Michelle snapped some behind the scenes photos during my shoot, then we headed to Urth Caffe in West Hollywood for lunch before attending the beauty event. It was the perfect day to be sitting outside with a friend and enjoying delicious food. It seemed that Urth's patio seating area was the stomping grounds for the bees, we still enjoyed our food and the pleasant atmosphere.
Although it was late afternoon, I was craving brunch foods; I ordered the Smoked Salmon Plate (Fresh 100% natural salmon that is locally smoked, served with a bagel, cream cheese, roma tomatoes, romaine lettuce, red onions and capers) with an iced Japanese 'Matcha Green' Tea Latte. Michelle ordered a fresh squeeze grapefruit juice and Seasonal Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad (Fresh Burrata cheese with heirloom tomatoes and baby arugula tossed in a Red Wine Vinaigrette and garnished with basil oil & a balsamic reduction). Are you hungry yet?
Urth Caffe was established in 1989 and is America's first exclusive organic coffee company, maintaining compliance and their own company standards by working directly with a limited number of sustainable coffee growers; and they also offer fine teas. The first cafe location opened in 1994 and was the location we visited in West Hollywood. Urth has since then been awarded multiple acclaims & awards and grown into 5 Los Angeles locations, which you'll definitely want to stop in when you can! The waiters are friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are great! Urth is known for their coffee and tea drinks, naturally, and customer faves include the Spanish Latte and Honey Vanilla Latte, as well as their boba beverages like the Organic Green Tea Boba. When Michelle and I stopped in, the wait wasn't too long and dining areas not too crowded, but I read that this location can become quite packed.
