Fabric Fashion Show on August 21, 2014 - The Federal Bar, Long Beach

I had the pleasure of attending the first Fabric Fashion Show held at the Federal Bar in Downtown Long Beach last Thursday. Let's just say that I've had my fair share of fashion shows or fashion incorporated shows and events held in night clubs or bars; and they end up, most of the time being a total unorganized flop and terrible experience (with the exception of Bri Seeley's Silence Collection showing at Eden Nightclub). The Fabric Fashion Show was well executed from the moment I came within 20 feet of the entrance; security personnel wristband-ed me (after checking my I.D.) and directed me to where I needed to go. A step and repeat was set up with a photographer that had great lighting to take photos (he was also nice enough to snap a couple photos for me); I was instantly greeted by Assyiah (whom had invited me to FSS) and she gave me my tickets along with an event itinerary. Although there wasn't much seating there was still sufficient standing space for guests (I had a nice reserved spot in the seating area though). While guests trickled into the space, they could peruse the vendors' shops and purchase drinks at the bar (which took cash and credit). The show started on time with the following line up; and when there wasn't a performance or fashion show going on, guests could listen to DJ De La Heart's mixes while grabbing a drink or shopping the vendors. I'm looking forward to another FSS show this upcoming November!
