Growl Juice Pub, Old Towne Orange

I've been on a juice kick lately, the greener or more veggie infused/filled the better! My go-to juice spot is Nekter Juice Bar, but after shooting photos in Old Towne Orange for a jewelry collaboration I have coming up, I was in the mood for juice and found Growl Juice Pub. It has a cool indie, artisanal feel to it and offers juices, wheatgrass & ginger shots, smoothies, and bowls. I didn't see pricing for the juice on the menu board, but saw that smoothies were running in the $8-9 range, which I think is pricey depending on the size. I figured the juice would be about the same price. I was able to sample various juices and settled on Burgundy Greens (kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, beets w/greens, parsley, apple, lemon, & ginger) & Viva No. 2 (kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, parsley, mint, apple, & lemon) at $9 each. I also liked the Old Towne Crush which was the perfect blend of sweet and citrus flavors. The cold pressed juices, although sold in 16oz glass bottles, are meticulously made fresh, daily every morning with 2-3 lbs of produce going into each bottle, and you can bring back the glass bottle to be recycled and receive 50cents off your next juice. Why is the menu on the pricier end? This juice bar only uses 100% raw and organic produce, which owner Josh Nichols stated "most juice bars aren't completely organic".

So refreshing and kept me full in the afternoon; and I definitely want to come back to try the almond milks. True to a 'pub', Growl Juice Pub also offers juice flights! There have been mixed feelings with service as well as the integrity of the produce, I am neutral when it comes to the service. When we came in, we weren't greeted but the associate gladly let us sample the various juices when we asked. And he also gave his input on which juices he liked best. You'll just have to go in and see for yourself!
