Styling Bright Colors in Palm Springs for Father’s Day Weekend

This past weekend, I was in the Palm Springs for the pool party music festival, Splash House, but I was also to celebrate Father's Day with my parents. We actually stayed in Palm Desert at an amazing suite at Marriott's The Enclaves Villages. After enjoying coffee while gazing off into the desert mountain landscape I got ready for brunch.

We took a stroll around The Gardens on El Paseo which served as a great backdrop for photos, then decided on eating at Cafe Des Beaux-Arts. I wanted to style a look that would be heat friendly: loose and breathable; and pop against the earth tones and cacti color palette of the desert. My hair was wet when I was leaving the hotel so I braided it, and after it dried in the expected Palm Desert heat, I undid the braids yielding wavy hair. Here's what I wore:
