Travel | Lan Su Chinese Garden-Portland, Oregon
Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland, Oregon is a must see sight when visiting the city. Built by Chinese artisans from Suzhou, the garden walls hold a wonderful, and beautifully authentic Chinese botanical garden that offers 'a powerfully inspiring experience based on a 2,000-year-old Chinese tradition that melds art, architecture, design and nature in perfect harmony'. Tours and activities are available to garden guests, and don't forget to stop in at the Teahouse in the Tower of Cosmic Reflection for a light meal or snack and of course, tea; as well as the Garden Shop for a souvenir. Check out ticket and membership details here, this experience by far is completely worth any ticket price. I got lost among the pebble walkways, interesting archways, bridges, lily pads, waterfalls and rich history for hours. It was also fun to get to create my own Chinese Accordion Book!
