My parents and I landed in Portland, Oregon Saturday afternoon and we took off on an adventure. After checking into the Courtyard by Marriott-Portland City Center, we grabbed sushi down the street at Koji Osakaya; then enjoyed live music at Festa Italia, and finished our day at the Portland Saturday Market alongside the Willamette River. We browsed handmade, artsy, and touristy goods and after picking up a backpack (and my mom a handpainted silk scarf), we stopped in at the Dan & Louis Oyster Bar for a dozen oysters and steamed clams! The oyster bar just so happened to be located a couple steps away from Voodoo Doughnuts, but I just can't bring myself to stand in the outrageous line; may stop by one of the other locations.
