Styling Thrifted Finds for a Southwestern Inspired Summer Outfit
I finally stopped into the Working Wardrobes Thrift Shop in Costa Mesa (also an Anaheim location), and boy oh boy am I so glad I did. Not only did I pick up this look (minus the handbag & shoes) at 50% off, but every .90 cents of 1 dollar spent was contributed to the independent non-profit organization Working Wardrobes, which 'empowers men, women, veterens, and young adults overcoming difficult challenges to confidently enter the workforce and achieve self-sufficiency'; providing 'career training, job placement assistance and wardrobe services in an environment of dignity and respect'. I found out that there are also boutique locations called The Hanger in Tustin and Laguna Niguel which carries designer brands like Gucci and Prada. I will definitely be checking in more often at the Costa Mesa thrift shop location; manager Cristina was very amiable and her staff (many are volunteers) very attentive. I left with 2 southwestern belts, a midi skirt, silk top, and high-waisted shorts for only $16! Customers can enjoy a great retail experience that truly helps others in the community, AND I can't wait to fill out my punch card-get a hole punch for 5 purchases of $15+ and receive $15 worth of FREE merchandise (there are always deals and promos on their FB page). I'm heading out to a friend's pool party, then an engagement party today; what do you have planned this weekend?
