I was thrilled to find out that my friend Ariel's fiance Christian was going to be opening his 2nd boutique, and that it would be in Belmont Shore off 2nd Street, Long Beach. His Seal Beach store managed by business partner Liz is a total local and tourist fave offering the latest trends in clothing, accessories, and jewelry, and of course encompassing a true laid-back, but fashionable so cal lifestyle. I was able to track the progress of the build of the Belmont Shore store and really see Elison Rd (#2) come to fruition before my eyes. What started as an ex European gown shop had to be completely demolished and stripped down to bare nothing, then filled with fixtures and displays built from wood (new and upcycled), metal pipes, hand painted signs, and vintage decor finds. I am so proud of everyone that was involved to make this store happen, and it opened in less than a month from the first day of remodeling. The grand opening was a huge success, and every time I pop in, it's always packed with eyes of wonderment; imagine Anthropology, Brandy Melville, Urban Outfitters and your fave boutique all in one location (and now there are two locations). If you're in the OC/south LA area, be sure to stop in this summer, I promise you won't regret it!
