27th Annual UCLA JazzReggae Festival

I have never experienced a music festival before and was beyond thrilled to attend the 27th Annual UCLA JazzReggae Festival this past Memorial Day with friend Dana. This was a 2-day event in which I enjoyed the 2nd day of an awesome line-up ending with all-time legend Ziggy Marley. Festival go-ers young and old had a plethora of amusements to choose from; a kids craft area, live art installations and an exhibit, numerous shop vendors, and of course food and refreshments (featuring authentic Jamaican cuisine, Chinese, Thai, American, Island,  and Mediterranean flavors, as well as sweet treats)! I tried a vegan dish from food vendor 'Strictly Vegan' but was quite peeved that a majority of the dishes were not available. At least the food was good. I wanted to try Jerk Chicken but the lines for all Jamaican food vendors looked about 30-45 minute long waits, no thank you! Regardless, I loved the sense of pride in the Jamaican and Reggae culture at this festival. I just might have to attend both days next year, it was truly a fun and amazing time; sharing good vibes and love with all festival go-ers. I exercised restraint this year and purely enjoyed the music, but may have to peruse  the shops a little A LOT more next year :)
Loved seeing floral wreaths everywhere! I on the other hand, did not have time to make a wreath, and instead wore a jungle fever inspired outfit: Sheer Wrap (borrowed from friend Dana)/ Crop Top (She + Hem from Elison Rd)/ Skort (Banana Republic)/ Sandals (Forever 21)/ Backpack (Thrifted)/ Assorted Bracelets (Thrifted, Gifted from Dana, Forever 21)
