{Recipe | Cauliflower Crust Pizza}

My friend Jen has been on a health kick lately and she wanted to try out a Cauliflower Crust Pizza recipe that she found on pinterest. Taste wise, our pizza turned out DE-LISH, but since we didn't wait quite long enough for our cauliflower pizza crust to cool, it didn't serve very well as a crust (was a bit mushy). We are going to try for a round 2! Our Pineapple & Salami Cauliflower Crust Pizza tasted well with a glass of Reisling wine.

What We Needed for our Cauliflower Crust (9in Pizza) from Recipe Girl-
-2 Cups of shredded Cauliflower (1/2 Large Head of Cauliflower)
-1 large egg
-1 cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese (or try another kind!)--We used Provolone
-1 teaspoon dried oregano
-1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic (or fresh garlic)
-1/2 teaspoon onion salt
Our Toppings-
-Marinara sauce
- Pineapple Chunks
-Salami (sliced)
- Sliced Provolone (we are going to try finely grated mozzarella next time)
After shredding the cauliflower head, I placed the bowl into the microwave for 8 minutes, then to cool (we should have given the bowl more time to cool)
While the oven was pre-heating to 450°, I mixed in the rest of the crust ingredients into the bowl
I sprayed a pizza pan with non-stick spray, then made sure to pat the crust down onto it making a 9in pizza; lastly sprayed the top of the crust with non-stick spray
Jen placed the crust into the oven to bake for 15min
Then finished preparing the toppings
When the crust was ready, Jen added the marinara sauce (leaving a 1/2 in border around the edge) and toppings
With the pizza fully garnished, Jen broiled it for 3-4 minutes
We immediately cut it and topped with avocado slices
