Camila X Castillo SS13 Collection 'Alien'

The CXC by Camila X Castillo SS13 collection, 'Alien'  made it's US debut during LA Fashion Week hosted by CONCEPT Shows at Siren Studios. I have to say that this collection was one of my faves for the SS13 season because of the visual appeal through the designer's conceptual designs inspired by extraterrestrial and space films. I liked the way the presentation was conducted; 2-3 models would approach the space at a time, appearing to be timed just right and reflective of performance art. Although in almost robotic movements; the models seemed to effortless direct themselves, ever so often stopping in one spot to change their focus, ultimately moving in 360° to feature every detail of the designs. Each piece and styling with the hair, bold make up and reoccurring gold strips created a strong aesthetic, translating the 'Alien' theme well. I was in awe of the body con shapes mixed with soft feminine fabrics either slightly puckered, or placed into beautiful geometric patterns. Simply bold, and simply stunning!
