Project Ethos Event in Los Angeles, CA

Project Ethos has been bringing together live art installations, music, and fashion shows all under one roof since 2005. This year, the event took place at Exchange LA in conjunction with theDowntown LA Artwalk. Clad in an Adrienne Vittadinidress, I started the evening off by taking a stroll through the art gallery which featured live painting and masterpieces strewn across metal fencing; it really brought street culture and art together in one space. I actually would have liked to have an even larger space with more art to view.

During the first fashion show, I wasn't expecting to view as many and such a selection of different designers as there were, so that was a pleasant surprise. Everything from women's evening to ready to wear pieces, menswear, and shoes! The Charlies graced us with their trio sound and dance beats. It was a good break in between the 2 fashion shows, but I would have preferred that the group performed immediately following the first fashion show to keep it going. Although, it was nice to enjoy DJ Sets while waiting for the fashion shows to start. All in all, a great event to experience emerging artists, designers, and musicians. Stay tuned for posts on the individual designers from the first fashion show!
