{ROCQ Cafe}
{Le déjeuner au ROCQ Café avec ma mere -
Lunch at ROCQ cafe with my mom}
Awhile back at Yelp's All Hopped Up event, I had the pleasure of meeting Deborah, co-owner of Rocq Cafe in Lake Forest (my hometown!). We chatted up about the cafe, the yummy quiches that were being served to yelpers, and my fave, the heart-shaped macarons! The best part, her husband and co-owner of ROCQ Cafe is her husband, Chef Eddy Rocq!
I had to make it down to the cafe since it is located literally, 4 minutes away from my parent's house. On a random week day, I picked up my mom and we headed over to ROCQ Cafe for lunch. I was immediately entranced by the Versailles and lavish garden-inspired wall decor. The quaint signs and kitchenware that clad the walls, and enormous hand-written menu definitely had me yearning for a culinary-fueled trip to France. My mom had the Rotisserie Chicken panini and I had the Ham and Cheese croissant, which were exquisitely tasty and fresh, but apparently the Tri-Tip sandwich was a HIT, since it was sold out! And of course, I couldn't leave without snagging a couple macarons! I had Deborah pick out a couple of her faves! I definitely need to have a Marie Antoinette moment; just stop by again, and overindulge in cakes, fruit tartes, and more macarons! Share the flavorful delights of ROCQ through their catering services, or take one step closer to culinary greatness with cooking classes.
